Start your licensing education with LEAP's Texas real estate pre-licensing course, designed to help you complete the required coursework online.
Here’s the rewritten article body:
In Texas, the real estate licensing exam is not available online. You must take it in person at an approved Pearson VUE testing center.
You can, however, handle parts of the process online. That includes completing pre-licensing education through approved providers and scheduling your exam once you are eligible.
If you are pursuing a sales agent or broker license, the online convenience applies mostly to coursework and registration. The actual exam session is still proctored at a test center, not taken from home.
A flexible option for the education requirement is Leap Real Estate’s Texas pre-licensing course: https://leaprealestate.com/state-licenses/texas-pre-licensing. Online coursework can help you finish required classes before booking your test appointment.
Before you register, make sure you have completed the required education hours and submitted your application to the Texas Real Estate Commission, or TREC. After TREC approves your application, Pearson VUE can help you choose a date and location.
On exam day, bring the identification and any other items required by the testing center, and arrive early. Be prepared to follow the center’s rules on personal belongings, calculators, and breaks.
Because licensing rules can change, it’s a good idea to check TREC for the latest requirements. In short, you can prepare and schedule online, but the Texas real estate exam itself must be taken in person.
