Complete Your Pre-Licensing Education
Enroll in our state-approved 60-hour Maryland Real Estate Salesperson Pre-Licensing Course and complete all required coursework to satisfy Maryland's education requirement for licensure.
Pass Your Course Final Exam
Once you've completed the 60-hour pre-licensing course, pass the course final exam to demonstrate your understanding of Maryland real estate principles and prepare for the state licensing exam.
Complete the Background Check
As part of the licensing process, you'll be required to complete a criminal background check and provide fingerprints or any additional documentation requested by the Maryland Real Estate Commission (MREC).

Pass the State Licensing Exam
Licensing exams in Maryland are conducted by PSI Examination Services. You must schedule your examination with PSI and pay the applicable non-refundable examination fee. You need to get a score of 70% or higher on both the national and state portions to pass the real estate salesperson licensing exam in Maryland.
