Complete Your Pre-Licensing Education
The first step to getting your Kentucky real estate license is to enroll in a real estate school and complete 96 hours of approved real estate pre-licensing education.
Pass Your Course Final Exam
Once you have completed the 96-hour Kentucky real estate pre-licensing course, you must successfully pass the course final exam to complete your pre-licensing education.
Complete the Background Check
Complete the required criminal background check in accordance with the requirements of the Kentucky Real Estate Commission (KREC).
Apply for Your Kentucky Real Estate License
Submit your sales associate license application to the Kentucky Real Estate Commission (KREC) along with the required documentation and applicable fees.
Pass the State Licensing Exam
Licensing exams in Kentucky are conducted by PSI Examination Services. You must schedule your examination with PSI and pay the applicable non-refundable examination fee. You need to get a score of 75% or higher on both the national and Kentucky state portions to pass the real estate sales associate licensing exam in Kentucky.
